World Scholar’s Cup Club
The World Scholar’s Cup is an international academic tournament that brings together many subjects and helps in expanding the mind. It challenges teams to work together, because there’s nothing harder or more inspiring than knowing that someone else depends on you. It deals with serious global issues without taking itself too seriously, because before we can fall in love with learning, we have to find the fun in learning.
The event comprises three main events: Scholar’s Quiz which is based on six interesting and new subjects, Collaborative Writing which gives children the liberty to write what they believe in without the constrictions of formats, and lastly the Team Debate event which allows the students to speak on topics of importance with a twist of their own interpretation of the world.
It aims to motivate all students to grow and be a part of themselves as well as inspires to create a global community which focuses on universal brotherhood and acceptance.
At Mayo College Girls' School, we host the Ajmer regional round for WSC with students participating from all over the country. This two-day event is the first step for many of our students to make a mark in the Tournament of Champions.
The WSC club became a part of the MCGS Curriculum in 2020, with the integration of the WSC club which aims to foster and prepare the students for the event. It aims to teach and help the students practice the WSC syllabus including collaborative writing and debate in a fun and invigorating way which empowers the students to learn more and celebrate learning beyond four cemented walls.
